Pandas and that whale came off endangered species list, we made huge strides in curing ALS, my daughter was born, and I got a fat raise. While I'm sure 2017 will get even better, this year could've been a lot worse.

Mine was pretty good year too. Moved to a new city with my lovely wife and our dog and got a nice new job.

I just think 2016 was perceived as bad due to all the cameras/streaming humans have always been terrible, now its just documented better
