The snake would have to coil in order to strike. It's neck is extended too far to get any momentum. This is a relaxed posture.
And because you're no behaviorist you're incorrect. An aggressive or predatory snake has very recognizable body language.
So what is it doing? Showing mild curiosity to something smaller than his owner? Or is it recognition of a family member?

"Reptiles" are an incredibly diverse group and yes, some reptiles show canine levels of intelligence.
Never said anything about the “level of development,” just that mammal and reptile brains and lifestyles are completely different.
This is a nonvenomous snake and while it could technically attack, it’s about as likely to as a dog. It’s clearly well socialized and calm.

How narrow or wide is that range? My father knows someone personally who lost a child (and the snake) from the snake eating the baby
