European Starling. Good pets as birds go, and amazing mimics. They don't /speak/ the way parrots do, they just repeat sounds (including words and phrases) that they've learned and enjoyed, but that's a good thing when it comes to pet birds; if it's smart enough to talk, it's too smart to make a good housepet.
