You don't need that kind of negativity in your life. Call a crack team of commandos to take him out.

Yesterday was my 12 year anniversary, and my wife is lactose intolerant. Don't you put this evil on me!

I had to cut Pizza out of my diet a little over a month ago...

Cheese is dairy crack because of the caseine.

Cheese doesn't do much for me. If I could never eat it again, I wouldn't be too sad.

Married 8 years. My husband has discovered he's lactose intolerant. The horrible farts and poops have stopped. BUT CHEESE. :'(
Xirema
Cheese is pretty much the sole reason I can't go vegan. I've had vegan "cheese", and I mean, it's fine. Enjoyable even, in the right dish.
But it's just not good *enough* to justify losing Cheese.
hessay12
I do love cheese. My wife is indifferent. I can be YOUR. Backup plan. :)

As a husband, I married a lactose intolerant. She also got me into veggie burgers. I don't know what I did wrong.

I’m trying to figure out how to suggest to my husband that we should eat less meat. Slightly afraid he’ll lawyer up at the mere idea.
naytorin

Why do you want to eat less meat?
Starting to feel too guilty about it, given the environmental impact. I just feel like we could cut back a bit.
marsgoose
Is it the cow fart gas thing? We should just install pilot lights on animal butts so the gas gets burned off.
Cow farts, production of food for livestock, etc.
HoneyBunchesOfStoats
I can't answer for Cherry Empress, but personally I've started dialing back the meat because it's expensive and high calorie. Also, while
I'm not willing to go vegetarian I'm getting concerned about the ethics of eating so much meat in the context of our current
agricultural system

Leave the kids too. More cheese for you.

My grandmother got told to cut back on cheese intake, she said what's life worth without cheese

I cut the cheese out of our diet. He's still there.

No man would ever suggest something like that!

My wife has practically cut cheese out of my diet. She eats it all before I can get to it.

My husband has said he could easily be a vegetarian if he wanted, but never wants to remove dairy (especially cheese) from his life.
VioletMoonRising
Uh what? Vegetarians eat cheese.
peakbleak
Not all cheese though, lots of cheese uses animal rennet.
HessianGhost
Right. Exactly. That's what the dude said. He could easily go vegetarian, but, due to his love of cheese, would never go vegan.
No... it's not. Not at all.
worksoncontingencynomoneydown
No, he said he would go vegetarian if it weren’t for his love of cheese, which you’re allowed to eat as a vegetarian (just not vegan).
Why would someone say something so completely nonsensical? Is it not more likely that he said something that made sense instead?
A lot of people think vegetarians don’t eat dairy. I don’t think it’s completely nonsensical. Veganism wasn’t mentioned at all.
TheEdmontonMan
That's vegan, being a vegetarian means just no meat (or fish, which some people don't count as meat for some reason)
Something about not having blood in the meat or something. Also that they don't have pain receptors i think.
GoAheadAndDownvoteYouFlippingFascist
I eat fish cause that feels normal to eat. But I don't eat beef, pork, or poultry cause that feels weird. Nothing more to it than that.
Right but i what I'm describing is what i hear from most pescatarians (vegetarian w/ fish)
I understand. What I meant was that I am a pescetarian, and am submitting my own feedback to help add a broader range to the anecdotes.
MamaKin
As a vegetarian, try and take my cheese away and I'll cut you.
NoseCandyDandy
Yes indeed! I'm a vegetarian and feel such shame at the grocery store as I buy $25 worth of cheese...a week.
I've got no shame. Proudly lift your cheese to your nose, look them straight in the eye and establish dominance.
Davidtakethatoutofyourmouthrightnowyoungman
I'm astonished at the number of people who are misinterpreting you statement. For what it's worth, I feel the same way as your hubs!
JustAnotherPOG
I'd be perfectly happy to be a vegetarian, as long as I didn't have to give up BBQ, steak, hamburgers, sushi, etc.
A lot of cheese products are made with animal rennet. It can be difficult to determine if the cheese you're buying is actually vegetarian.
zamielvanweber
I'd happy be a vegetarian if my husband didn't have dietary restrictions against it, but I REFUSE to give up dairy and honey.
fyi Vegetarians eat honey/dairy eggs etc, it's vegans that don't
PrincessWasabi

Because character limit. Leaving the implication was more efficient than making the distinction absolutely clear.
eagle193
As a non-vegetarian, isn't that still non-vegetarian? Or do you mean vegan? Please pardon my ignorance.
VolcanoHerder
Vegetarians eat everything but flesh (eggs, milk, honey are ok). Vegans dont eat any animal products. There's things in between as well.
TheOnlyHopeForMeIsYou
Is it still vegan friendly if the eggs are from home raised chickens? they lay regardless of rooster presence and would just go to waste
Nope. I see your point, but no. True vegans wont even eat honey because it belongs to bees. Nothing that came from an animal at any time.
icookfoodandfightfire
depends on the person, theres variations on vegetarian. Theres lacto-vegetarians that still eat/drink dairy products, ovo-vegetarians that>
