Painting is like therapy, right?

So I've been painting since some crap happened in my life and I have only sporadically painted. I tend to paint when I'm feeling a bit crazed or stressed or sad. It's my version of therapy when I can't actually go. The painting above is the coast of Maine that my partner sent me photos of from a trip he took in better days.

I wanted to figure out painting reflections on water. I like some of it!

The first painting I did that I was trying to emulate a painting I had seen in a store.

I really love watercolors and used watercolor pencils and salt for this one. And tape. Lots of well placed tape.

Besides painting I doodle a lot. My partner hates photographs so I drew him a caricature instead. Love of my life does not have that long of legs but would read books this big if we could get our hands on them.

I don't have a dog for dog tax or a cat for cat tax. So accept my humble to apologies and I'm trying to rectify that situation eventually.

It's sad to hear that to hear you only paint when you're in a bad way. Change that, these are beautiful
