There are many unhoused cats it is a waste of resources, reducing genetic diversity, treating animals like an accessory, the list goes on. It's dumb and fucked and cats are great as they are.
There are a few cases like the persian cat. I never understood how people preferred the shortened nose cats, poor lil fellas going in the same direction as bulldogs. Looked into it a little and they seem to be an offshoot of siamese cats? So, they can have similar cat ailments, but nothing as critical as, say, a flat-faced breed.
