Despite "the look," I find that most bikers are soft spoken, charitable, a little goofy, and a little geeky. About the same as everyone you'd meet at a metal concert.

turns out that being a big ol fuckin nerd about your motorcycle kinda sets a baseline that has some funny quirks that come with it. Obviously not hard and fast, but most serious bikers I've met are just super, super into bikes, and living their (possibly autistic) dream.

Meh, I've found bikers to be shockingly well-to-do. However most of my experience was many years ago in Daytona during several bike weeks. So it could have been a matter of a bunch of poor people eating off the $1 menu for 51 weeks a year then coming to Daytona and splurging for a week.

There’s definitely two ends of the scale that are very far apart. But I think it’s weighted towards the good guys who enjoy riding and the culture. But twice in the past couple of years I’ve had guys show me they were carrying a gun. My understanding is it’s some bullshit about not passing them because they’re patched up.

The biggest minor one to me is people who tag or vandalize murals or public art works. You could put your shitty tag literally anywhere, and you intentionally chose to destroy someone else's lovingly crafted art, instead of any blank wall or space that was available? Guaranteed, they're a selfish, entitled, arrogant cunt.
