It likely can go wrong, because you're not only seeing the primary systems for things like flaps, fuel, hydraulics, etc. in this video; you're also seeing the (sometimes multiple) redundant systems that are built in as backups/secondaries for if/when the first system fails.
If your cars' control arm bushing fails on the highway, you'll be able to safely pull over and deal with it. If a hydraulic pump controlling the planes' left ailerons goes bad at 40,000ft with 200 souls on board...
There’s a back up to the back up. Lots of systems on aircraft are duplicated and triplicated. Planes are inspected and serviced routinely. It looks scary but it’s all accounted for. I’m not saying accidents won’t happen but FARs are unfortunately written in blood.
If it makes you feel better, I had the finagle the components because the higher-ups wanted to fly a jet with passengers other than flight crew in the morning as I worked night shift. Per the regulations, the jet was required to have all components of the Flight Data Recorder system (the "Black Box") operation for have non-aircrew onboard. Why are those two things related? They aren't. It's a dumb AF regulation. They wanted me to steal the part from another jet so that that jet was able to do
the flight. The part required to make it work is not a part you remove after it's installed. It will break if you remove it. So instead I reset the error code in the black box so it would think that the (clearly faulty) aileron position signal was in fact "valid". This made the status panel in the cockpit read "Good", which meant that the jet was able to perform the function that supervision wanted. Me being the SME (Subject Matter Expert), I knew that that signal had 2 other redundancies. So
even if every possible thing hit the fan, (which in this instance is talking total loss of life on the aircraft), the people picking up the parts would still be able to figure out why what happened, happened.
This is all to say that: Holy fuck, the amount of redundant systems, even in (in my case) an aircraft that was over 50 years old... Aircraft are very safe. It takes so much to go wrong for a passenger to be in danger. As someone who knows Aircraft maintenance/safety, I feel more safe

I work in medical manufacturing and you'd think there'd be some sort of literacy test to make sure people can actually read and understand the assembly procedures, but nope. Best I can do is make the steps simple enough that they can't fuck it up in a way that will kill someone.

I almost went into aircraft maintenance, even went to visit a school for it and realized that if I put the wrong nut on the wrong way I kill 100+ people. That changed my mind.
That actually happened. A very experienced mechanic saw a bolt inserted "upside down" (on tail elevator flap?) with the nut on top. You NEVER do that - if the nut backs off, the bolt falls out and things come apart. He "fixed" it. Turned out that the bolt head was taller than the nut and jammed the elevator in flight leading to crash. Mechanic said "Sure - I fixed it. Didn't have to look it up. Any rookie knows that is always wrong". Can't imagine how he felt when they told him.
When the Camera first enters the wheel well: the left side is the Hydraulic fluid supply tanks and back up motors that can put out 3K PSI of pressure. The ceiling is mostly Landing gear stuff, making them go up and down. and the Right wall has the flap motor with the big orange tube, various valves and wires for the Over-wing Airbrakes, and wheel brake valves so skidding doesn't happen.
I just work at a company that Airlines contract their annual inspections to. Mostly 737s but also A319/20/21's as well. I'm on the crew that handles the Engine and Hydraulic bits of those inspections. There are a few things that are scheduled to be taken apart and put back together. At the beginning and end of the check we run all the systems (even the Landing Gear) and replace things based on what works and doesn't work normally.
I'm not seeing adequate drip loops on those wire harnesses though. They're going to fill with skydrol and it's going to eat the insulation off the kapton wiring. (Again).
Get prepared to chase some high-resistance shorts that only happen on landing. Did one of your 3green just flicker?
