I have a Capri 22 also, awesome boats. I’m ordering a new spinnaker this winter, can’t wait!! Love the blue hull.

Make sure that backstay is a little beefed up. hate to drop the rig over the bow.

Yeah... that would not be good.

I have heard that it should be ok as long as the backstay is under tension (no slack). Or do you mean that I should get a bigger cable?

As I understand it a gennaker has a flat luff like a code 0. This has a rounded luff so it is an asymmetric spinnaker.

An asymmetric spinnaker is a gennaker. The sails with a flut like a code 0 is genoa. But anyway, enjoy your new sails and your boat!

Gennaker has an asymmetric shape (spinnaker is symmetric), therefore it has to be fixed on a special boom. It's for on beam reach. 1/2
