Ode to goddamncatalinawinemixer

This was my first ever Imgur Secret Santa and I have to say @goddamncatalinawinemixer has ruined me for all other Santas. According to the letter I found enclosed, this was four Santas rolled into one because they had forgotten to sign up in previous years. I can say I definitely benefited from that.

So many packing peanuts

So many gifts!

Started out with a nifty card...

... with a motherfrickin' dragon inside!

I seriously would have been happy with just this card. Look at the majesty!

Artemis (our gray cat) enjoyed it too.

Next came the Iron Throne ornament. It got a little roughed up in the mail but I was able to bring it back to its glory with a bit of glue.

It now lives on our knick knack shelf for safe keeping and because our tree is small and pathetic and would easily die if we placed this bitchin' ornament on it.

@goddamncatalinawinemixer finished out the GOT presents with a Targaryen wall hanging!

But wait, there is more! THE RING OF POWER!

The One Ring goes along perfectly with Nenya.

And a librarian mug to drink my tea! I am a Librarian person myself so I am super pumped with the quote!

The next part was a Captain America kitty! I love me some Cap and the cat actually looks a bit like Artemis.

FYI there was a struggle with getting him to pose for the picture.

@goddamncatalinawinemixer sent me a lanyard and pin from Minnesota. Go sports ball!

I believe I said no boxes of bees!

Lastly, @goddamncatalinawinemixer kicked ass with Harry Potter gifts! They sent me the Elder Wand, the Wand Collection, a Deathly Hallows necklace...

... and some book marks! I adore Harry Potter and it means so much to me to receive so many special gifts. If you don't want to hear me get sappy, stop reading now. Harry Potter has always held a special part in my life. My mother read every Harry Potter book aloud to my sisters and I when we were younger and the books were the foundation of my young adult life.

My fiance and I are both big ol' nerds and love it to pieces. We actually met at a speed dating event at a Con and when he said he was a Ravenclaw I knew I made the right choice in giving him my number.

This year we went to the Muggle Net Live event in Orlando...

...where he proposed!

Right in front of Florish and Blotts with Lockhart and everything! So needless to say Harry Potter stuff makes me all warm and fuzzy.
