It is a repost though

And he doesn't tell you to drink your own piss!

Every time I hear an argument being marketed by saying that this or that appeal to "those of lesser intelligence", I automatically hate it.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also well worth checking out is the Primitive Technology YouTube channel. Amazing stuff and straight to the point.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Instructions unclear: drank my own piss

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All in all they're both TV shows, no matter how real or fabricated. You still learn and will be entertained in the comfort of your couch.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ginseng is a plant in and of itself...it can not be IN ANOTHER PLANT unless you put it there! Grylls is a dumbass!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You make it difficult for people to hear this message when you insult them, But I guess you have superior intelligence so it doesn't matter

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

but does he drink his own piss?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, he does.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"If im not carful I might have to drink my own piss*shakes head* yeah right" - les

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All I hear is this.." *in a caveman voice* Grylls weak, Stroud strong". Whatever dude I respect both. They approach situations differently.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If Grylls were legit he would make his shitty K-Mart survival gear lighter and more practical. A 1lb pocket knife? Give me a break.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Saw a Grylls episode where he was in Alaska I think...he pointed out a certain plant and said IT HAS GINSENG IN IT.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is society. And no one cares.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This was JUST on the FP.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lmao, Survivorman gets downright depressing. "I'm gonna use the last of my food to try to get more...." "I'm out of food, maybe tomorrow..."

10 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 4

Better drink pee and in his honor

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 16

that is the reality in a survival situation.

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

When Naked and Afraid came out, I thought it was just a stupid gimmick. But after watching it, it truly shows the harshness of nature 1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One of my favorite shows

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And how challenging it would be to adapt if you truly had nothing with you 2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Someone's asking the real questions here!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With the exception of the sheeping bag, I've never watched abutting bear grylls. I've seen every episode of Survivorman a couple times

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Anything*

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have always admired his show and seen more of his than Bear's

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

Better drink pee in his honor

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

I feel like Survivorman was usually "I'm trying to survive, ah dang I didn't do so great, oh well" and Bear went to (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the extent of "here's everything that could possibly go wrong, and how to deal with it"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's his show called?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Survivorman i think it was, too lazy to google to verify.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Thanks!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Survivorman. Excellent. You grow to respect the guy. I laugh at him walking into the distance. You'll be back... for the camera.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Haha thanks

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got a classic. Bushtuckerman les hiddins

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fukkin awesome bloke, and top show

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes! Why don't more people know about this guy??

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ray Mears is my favourite survival expert, he learns alot from the local people and doesn't act like he knows it all, bear grylls is piss.

Marlin Perkins was the OG

But can he tell me why kids prefer the cinnamon sweet taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

The world may never know

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

He probably could with science.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because kids like sugar.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My 10 yo brother hates the cinnamon sweet taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Even tho' I like the cinnamon sweet taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1. I remember back in like, 2008, before Bear Grylls was largely regarded as a charlatan, I was watching Man vs. Wild. He was on the tundra

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Sure it wasn't the testicle of the yak?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2. with some native, and they stumbled across a dead baby yak (or something). The native told Bear that they would eat it, even though it >

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

5. seriously ill. That was when I realized that Bear is a fucking fake and has no fucking idea what he's actually doing.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

3. it was rotten. So Bear cut off a slice and ate it right up. Made him sick because it was so gross. The native just stares at him like >

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

4. he's an idiot and says, "What are you DOING? You have to COOK IT FIRST." Like what he just did was EXTREMELY dangerous and he might get >

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Bear was an SAS soldier, toughest gig in the world. I think it unwise to doubt his skills. It is, after all, only tv.

10 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 14

Better drink pee in his honor

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Sure but for pure wilderness survival, Stroud is the one I'd want by my side. Bear can help me fight against an invasion or something.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

my boyfriend's dad worked with Grylls for a while. Can confirm he is an utter moron who would have died several times if not for his crew.

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 25

I kind of doubt that. The SAS is one of the best special operations programs in the world. They must know how to survive in the wild.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

Special forces rarely know how to survive in EVERY situation because each type of environement require a formation and iirc he didn't 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

spent a lot of years in the sas so I doubt he had more than a generalist and minimal formation about survival in the wild. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well he once asphixiated himself by swallowing an octopus tentacle that suckered on to his throat and got stuck so.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

he also stayed in hotels while his crew (boyfriend's dad included) slept in a tent outside.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Pretty sure that's more the network not being willing to pay for the rooms. He could've slept outside as well, but it's hardly his fault.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grylls was an SAS reservist and has climbed Everest, Les is a Canadian folk singer and survival expert different skill sets really

10 years ago | Likes 363 Dislikes 17

I think he was in the French Foreign Legion as well

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wasn't it leaked a couple of years ago that bear sleeps in hotels and not at the actual locations?

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

Indeed. What it comes down to is marketing and TV and such.

10 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 0

I think it comes down to who looks best drinking their own urine. But that's just because I enjoy watersports...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think the creator of this infographic needs to reserve some of his SAS.

10 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

Man vs Wild wasnt meant to be a show on how Grylls could survive in the wild. People call him a pussy when it was meant to be informative.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To my knowledge bear hasn't gone off in search of "Bigfoot" so he has that going for him...

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

Why am I being downvoted? Do people not know Les has a bigfoot show now?

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I had not heard of that. Looked it up, son of a bitch he went looking for bigfoot with a crazy person.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Crazy people*

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah if you dropped them both in a cage, you bet your ass i'm putting all of my money on Grylls

better drink pee in his honor

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I assume hes saying drink pee to honor bears military service, which consuming pee is a running joke with bear....

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also Bear has a wife and child to make sure he gets home to.

Everest has a 10% mortality rate...they often go in groups of 20 and come back with 18...it's absolutely an incredible feet

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Everest is a tourist stop" is possibly the dumbest thing you've ever said. Take pictures after you climb it.

If you really believe there isn't inherent danger avoidable with money, talk to the 22 people that died in 2015, or the 17 people in 2014.

Taking risks isn't a skill, mitigating risks is. The question is whether or not Bear was the one mitigating risks or his guides.
