Everyday in LA was a bright 80+ degrees Fahrenheit day. Nice and cool compared to our first day in Palm Springs.
I wanted to compare how accurate GTA was as we were hanging out. Some shots will not be as accurate as others because this was a vacation first and a project about comparison second.

Traffic at the Griffith Observatory(Galileo Observatory in GTA) was horrible because of a near by theater and the parking attendants needlessly making everyone stop and go. I only got this photo of the near by tunnel which is also in GTA. Breathtaking…
Palm Springs and the surrounding areas like Cabazon were over 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
Fallout New Vegas fans may know there’s a gift shop in one of the dinosaurs, which is true in real life too. Here’s another bonus fact for New Vegas Fans, Davis Quartz mining site seems like it’s influenced by Mountain Pass rare earth mine. While I was looking for spots to drive to I noticed, just beyond the mountains that Mountain Pass rare earth mine is digging, was Primm, Jean, Goodsprings and I-15 leading to Las Vegas. It’s weird to think how close areas of Blaine County could be to Las Venturas. Unfortunately the mine was too far out of the way to try and see.

This is the bottom of Mount San Jacinto with the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway(Pala Springs Aerial Tramway in GTA). By the way, Palm Springs is nothing like Pala Springs in GTA. Pala Springs has pine trees, a coast and green grass while Palm Springs has palm trees, cacti, and a lot of sand. I knew about Palm Springs because my family went there once so at least I was expecting desert weather.
Salton Sea(Alamo Sea in GTA) isn’t visible from the peak we were on.
This old tram car looks more like the one in GTA. New cars are circular and the floor rotates so everyone has a chance see the view.

Here’s some Slab City(Stab City in GTA) signs we ran into at Salvation Mountain. Though I have yet to actually find the words Stab City written anywhere in in GTA.
Slab City Hostel, Roaming Dogs 25mph Please Slow Down, Slab City Library and Trading Post 1.2 mi.
Salton Sea looked pretty at night but, holy hell, there were dead fish everywhere. Stay away the hell away unless you have a gas mask.
Alamo Sea needs more dead fish. Hope you enjoyed the photos, we did this purely for our entertainment for only three days but it seemed like something worth sharing to other GTA fans.

Get printable iron-on sheets to put on a plain t-shirt. Buying these online would have costed over $50 but the sheets and t-shirts were $15.
