With healthcare in the forefront of American consciousness now, it's important to remember what Obamacare did: removed lifetime limits, no more dropped coverage, no more denied coverage, no more "be homeless or die", many other things. I know it's amazing, since I spent the time to read all 2400 pages of it. (it's not hard, its triple spaced with 2 inch margins). Do you know it also funds the support of hundreds of millions of dollars in training nurses and doctors? Of course, it absolutely can be better. I want Congress to work HARD to improve it. Sorry this isn't funny, but I am truly happy that people won't have to worry about their care now.

ACA is not perfect. GOP could have tried to improve it, but they chose not to stick there hand across the isle and seek help and support.

It has it's flaws, health insurance in the US is privatized. So people can opt out of it. In other countries it's handled by the govt.

To clarify, everyone is taxed for it, and everyone is covered. But in the US, you can opt out, and pay a smaller tax penalty.2/3

People will argue their deductible+monthly is bigger than their recent $10k medical health bill. But if it was $200k+, it no longer applies.

Yup. I now pay 5 times per month for triple copays and unreachable deductibles to see NO doctors anymore. Fuckin wonderful.
