My favourite, but sort of sad to look at, plant decoration.
Slowly growing some ZZ plant from some cuttings.
A jalapeño and tomato plant in the aerogarden, as well as some Genovese basil and Thai basil in the big pots, and all the little babies I started in the aerogarden and moved to soil out front (more basil, jalapeno, tomato, and mint).
Some snake plants I’m growing from cuttings as well as some pothos cuttings and a few aloe plants.
A Chinese evergreen I’ve been growing from a little cutting
A Tradescantia Nanouk I’m growing from some cuttings and a spider plant. I realize now that I really like getting random cuttings and growing them and then just giving them away and starting over again. Although I do have about 30 plants in my apartment…so maybe I have a plant problem.

I almost did go the plant route with my fish tank, but then decided to put hermit crabs in there. I feel like plant tanks are in my future though.

I’ve been down the same path as you, lolll. I now have a tank that’s just for plants. All the fun of an aquarium without the need for as ridged upkeep and the possible emotional roller coaster. (Dead fish made me sad.) Have you tried guerrilla gardening yet? Learning how to propagate opens a huge amount of new possibilities and going out to collect new cuttings is super fun.

Ahhh spider plants. The decorative weed. Seriously. You plant that shit with another plant and it will smother the shit out of it. It eats dirt and shits out roots. This is all absolutely lovely by the way and makes me jealous. I have a single plant that survived my efforts to have some plants in my room.

#2 I saw on YouTube to rotate the pot to make it even and not leaning on one side.. We had one for 15 yrs. We eventually separated it to make 5 clumps.

Thanks for the link! I’m hoping they’ll start to fill out and get some more shoots soon. They were just some half dead neglected bulbs from my old office and I took them hoping they would come back to life. Apparently they’re hard to kill!

I’m very forgetful about fertilizing. The aerogarden reminds me so those are easy. The rest I just sort of remember to fertilize in the spring and go based on the size of the pot they’re in.
