When did we start allowing representatives to go against the popular vote of the area they represent?
I'm genuinely curious because, IMO that's when the problems began in America at least.
Every time the popular vote is thrown out by representative vote, bad shit happens. It also is a massive violation of their oath, to serve their constituants. So why. The fuck. Is it. Not. Federally. Illegal. To do so.
