I imagine it's hard to make good low-difficulty maps if you play Beat Saber enough to feel the urge to make maps.
Check scoresaber.com/leaderboard, and adjust the difficulty slider. Ranked maps are "qualified" and held to a higher standard :)
Oh, and to add to this. Searching for specific songs mostly leads to dissapointment and to the experience you described, unfortunately
