The waterline's visible in the sand and it looks like they were standing near it. Only needed to take a few steps back and we'd see it all.

There’s a ~300ft cliff right above there. My wife and I drove up and got out. The winds were so bad that my glass were blown off (1)
and she had to hold onto the tire on the back of the RAV4 to keep from getting swept away. We promptly said eff that and carried on to Vik.
