I love my straight razor. It takes longer to shave but it's so worth it.

Is it less irritable? I get ingrowns pretty easy, looking for better options.

I used to have a problem with ingrowns but that stopped when I finished up with a cold water rinse. Or try cold water for the whole shave

You have to take greater care but for the most part I find that I have less irritation and ingrown hair while using my razor. 1/2

The stones for honing make a big difference depending on the steel used in the blade too.

For example a coticule produces a way different edge than a thuringen or a c-nat. German razors do well on a thuri or a c-nat.
