We moved into our house 3 years ago and hadn’t cleaned the dryer vent since then figured it was about time.
Lots of lint dust bunnies flying around. The vent did need cleaned pretty bad he took an airflow reading before cleaning and after it went from 872 flow up to over 1500. Much better should avoid any crazy lint fires as well.
Most Viral edit: first time on the front page and it’s for having some one clean my dryer vents.

I've noticed dryer sheets sometimes get past the filter and then cause major blockages. Gotta keep those vents clear :)

Pro-tip: hook a shop vac up to the other end. Did this about a month ago. Night and day for the dryer. Best $20 I've ever spent

It usually is caught by the filter but some does get through. My unit is in the center of my house so it’s a very long tube to clean 28ft

I’d say it’s the norm to have a washer and dryer here in America. Most of the time these units are on an exterior wall but mine is not

When I did mine I had an adaptor for my shop-vac that I plugged into the end. It had a neat port for the shaft the brush was on.

Be careful NOT to reverse direction of the drill when cleaning. It'll unscrew the poles and you'll lose them in your ducting. RTFM
