If you're using generative AI for social media, fake internet points or 'being creative', you are a special kind of suck.

One particular Imgurian who makes decent posts but typically infuses it with the most absurd and wildly unnecessary generative AI was my inspiration. He's belligerent and block-y about it, so his posts get few complaint comments anymore. And they hit FP a lot, which sucks.
Edit: Bad news though. Said user does not peruse the site; he just 'sjw' virtue signals here cuz so many of the users are susceptible.
The cunt doesn't even live among you. He just knows he can bottomfeed here.

I have been trying to get our middle school to ban them instead of embracing them.

The ol’six finger special

It's important to note that the botfarms use less water than lawns and golf courses. Maybe change that spot to something about the power use or pollution or seizure-inducing infra-sound?

My nonprofit just approved a "no generative AI content policy" .

Could also add that they are defending their 'right' to generate CSAM to the list, even if every other issue here was solved in some fashion that alone would be bad enough for me to hate it

Shit, really? At least that narrows it down without making the comment searchable for them :(

Another: It's getting pretty hard to tell if something is made with AI. Like this post. This could just be AI slop with better prompts and human editing. It would definitely be ironic lol.

source is original artist, her instagram is @professional.baby and her website has another ai comic; https://gillianlevine.com/agi-comic

Can we get some AI to upscale this image so it's more legible?

I don't upvote random posts anyway, comments sure

but does AI make anyone rich? Cause I haven't heard of any genAI company actually making a profit yet, just lots of investor funding. Nvidia has made bank though.

Apparently the ONLY thing that matters, sigh!

What if you're like my boss and you use it to put together the agenda for the meetings you host, because him and his meetings are a waste of time and he sucks?

Who is it so I can block them.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't block. Dv. Dm if you want. I try to follow imgur rules when possible.

There's no rule against blocking clankerfuckers

He's not a clanker. He's a genuine agitator. He had chat bots goin for a spell, but he's easy to spot.

When Google has AI results, it makes me wonder if people aren't going to websites they would have gone to since AI read the site for them and put the answer there. Maybe sites need to be able to block AI from reading its content.

I wonder if people read websites. I have made posts on imgur where the titles were ignored and the pictures were commented on....more than once. Edward Furlong stares into the distance

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

It's pretty easy and common for titles to get ignored on an image site

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

true. but i went like 6 for 6 in 25 minutes. disturbing

Earlier today I watched a YouTube video that was made by AI, about floods and geography. The content was actually fairly interesting and informative, but I noticed that a lot of place names on maps that were shown were incorrectly spelled. For whatever reason, AI seems to be terrible at labeling maps.

I saw one recently about fasting. the info was spot on, but the ai was just so weirdly unnecessary. The problem is the audience. Even on imgur, i made an anti-ai post using an ai image that some dickhead posted. My title was long and CLEAR. After 40 minutes, all the replies were about the ai infographic. Not one read the title. Bots or morons. Shit is bleak.

I saw one too. The entire video ended up being AI - the video, script, and voice over. The purported subject was accurate to something I had seen before, so was sharing with my wife.

It's not specifically that it's bad at labelling things, generative AI doesn't know what letters are in the context of an image. They usually just see them as just more lines that make up a picture, so they just guess at what lines are supposed to go together.

That would explain how I saw a US map with Indiana labeled something like "VIFRBLGOER". That's not a mistake that a human would make.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know that user. Absolutely destroys their credibility by posting a meaningful meme then AI slop after it. Just, no, stop

I could be thinking of a different user than others in this post are, but I was referring to JamieGeorge or something very close (I could be wrong on spelling, maybe a space between?), who I now cannot find when searching. Maybe they're posting under a different username now.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is the correct username, and I've been blocked too.

Nailed it. The messaging is on point, but they constantly incorporate AI slop, which is often fake, which makes it even worse than just using AI to generate content. Noticed they haven't been posting as frequently recently; maybe they got the hint.

I kept shouting at them about it, perhaps our messages got through
