Before I just had the tablet "Temporarily" stuck to the wall with 3m command strips for testing. Note the date.

And the cord running over the door. Remember, this was "Temporary".
After over a year of "Temporary" my wife "requested" I do something about the cord.

Tablet Dimensions: 7.52 x 4.53 x 0.42 in. Rounded down to 7.5 x 4.5 x .375 so there's a little room to sand for final depth

Started with a quick sketch of the tablet, measured the overlap for the face so doesn't interfere with the camera. Working from the inside out, used that overlap and the exterior dimensions of the tablet to determine overall frame size.

Printed the sketch and got to it.

Not pictured: glue up, use straight cut bit on router to freehand space for the charging cable, use utility knife to cut a groove for charging cable to go under tablet, drill 3/8 holes for neodymium magnets

This decorative moulding is a pain to paint. Used a rattlecan instead of brush. Evenly painting all of the detail is almost impossible so it got a lot of light coats from different directions.

Paint on back piece

Clear 2-part epoxied neodymium magnets into the holes.

Pro tip: to make sure they're opposite, lay out all magnets touching end to end, mark every other magnet with one color, the mark the rest with another. Put all one color on the face and the other on the back.

4 sets of magnets is plenty. Don't bother with the center top and bottom magnets. I didn't need to buy a second package of magnets. But now I have spare magnets, so that's awesome.
