I did a ring thing!

Hi everyone! I spent the last 3 months carving a ring for my fiance. I love her so much and this was one way I decided to try and prove my love for her. I'm not expecting this post to go anywhere, I just wanted to show people that stuff like this is possible, you just gotta go for it and put in the time and effort. Scroll down to see progress pics!

They make special wax blocks just for rings- how cool is that?

My dremel came in clutch, saving lots of time

I was originally going for a leaf design on the sides, but I soon realized the ring would be way to bulky like this.

I used tools I found around my house, and who would've thought that my favorite tool was a flathead screwdriver?

All ready to go! The jeweler put the wax into a hollow cylinder, filled that with sand, vacuumed air out, heated it all up to melt only the wax, then poured white gold into the mold to cast my ring.

My Jeweler was the real mvp! He took my glob of wax and turned it into a beautiful piece of art! I cannot thank him enough with how much effort he put into shaving down all the rough edges and nicks I put on that thing.
