I would do both, but beware that F3 is a bit "Bland" in terms of color pallette. If you're playing on PC there are saturation mods to help

Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics are fun, but hard and unforgiving. They all have seprated stories, so I'd say start with 3 and see if you love it.
