like all of these are wrong imo

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 6

Godfather 3 wasn't that bad it just pales in comparison to the first two

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Die hard 3 was better than die hard 2.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I assume Batman means the Keaton ones and the one after that. The first Batman was better.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 7

Rambo (2) needs to be higher.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

I concur.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

First Blood and then the subsequent movies are good but for vastly different reasons. Even though they star the same character you almost-

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

shouldn't compare them side by side because they're so thematically different.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The third Jurassic park was way better than the second

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Yea it definitely was, it wasn't as well done as the first in story aspect but 3 was the most entertaining as a dinosaur movie. 2 was meh.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. I actually hated the second.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of these are not trilogies

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

the LOTR ones should all be full

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

Return of the King should b highest.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

No, Two Towers

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Huh, I thought Fellowship was the best.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The two towers should be a little fuller.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Was this done 20 years ago ?

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Not 20 years ago. Probably closer to 10.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At most 10; Spiderman 3 came out in '07.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Beyond the Thunderdome should be lower

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

It's one of the weirdest movies I've seen, story-building-wise. It felt like the children part was meant to be a completely different movie

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My thought exactly. I'm sorry but half of that movie was a complete waste of film IMO.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And the first Mad Max should be higher.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I imagine a lot of its points come from its quotability. "Two men enter, one man leaves" and the like.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, The Room is amazingly quotable

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You forgot Toy Story!!! That's one of the only trilogy's where imo the third one is the best one

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Upvote for truth. It would be 100% -> 100% -> 120%.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Terminator is too low.

9 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 6

T2 is beat-for-beat almost the same movie as T1.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 19

And T2 had that whiny kid. Ugh. He certainly didn't behave like the 11 yr old the character was supposed to be.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

Yeah. I mean... 3 wasn't 2... but it wasn't the emoji movie for Christ's sake.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

And 1, what I remember of it, was way better than 60%.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I like it better than T2...

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Director's cut of alien 3 is a lot better than the theatrical. Worth a watch.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yea alien 3 directors cut is a rather good movie, nothing compared to 1 and 2 but still infinitely better than the garbage that is 4.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Resurrection was just an insult to everything alien. The director's "cut" was even more insulting. What a twat.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I should say "director's" cut, since it was made based on his notes. Afronsky refused to go near it after how they treated him.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Alien 3's director was David Fincher. As in Fight Club, and Se7en, David Fincher. Not Afronsky.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck, that's right. Thanks for the correction. I kept doubting myself as I wrote it but couldn't think of another name so I went with it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now which Planet of the Apes trilogy is this referencing, because the new one was good

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

The original Planet of the Apes series is pretty good through the first four

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This looks like the original series (it's more than a trilogy). Reboot series was very good.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Am I the only one that things Godfather III wasn't a bad movie just dwarfed by the masterpieces that were I and II?

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I agree. If you take Sofia Copala out and replace her with Winona Ryder, the movie is a perfectly serviceable B or B-.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The part where you need to take a course in Italian politics from the 70s to understand the plot doesn't do it any favors.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Im pretty sure those lord of the rings would be full if they had a lot less whining frodo.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

They really should make a shortened edition of Lord of the rings with the crap parts taken out.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

And frodo was completely different in the books. They just needed to add drama for the screen. Ruined his character.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yes! I still love those movies, extended versions, but Frodo was a whiny bitch. Sam carried his ass.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Still, return of the king should be higher than the other two.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Return of the king is the perfect masterpiece if you press skip every time you see frodos face.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Hey, another one! They may've done the best they could, but they're just boring af. Skip them, and end the movie at the Black Gate charge.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jaws 3 was absolute garbage. 2 was better than 3 by far.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Die Hard 2 & 3 should be swapped

The first Die Hard is probably about close to my idea of the perfect action-movie. No detail wasted, humour and great pacing and acting.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fucking definitely die hard 3 is so good. So is 2 but 3 is better

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Fucking definitely die hard 3 is so good. So is 2 but 3 is better

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I agree

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, Die Hard 2 is just the first movie all over again, except at an airport. Die Hard 3 was actually an original concept.

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

Totally! Plus, DH3 has Samuel L Jackson.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah. Samuel L was amazing in that film.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I mean, it was the plot for a movie called "Simon Says" to which they just added Bruce Willis and the title.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

4th was based on an unrelated screenplay as well. After 2 they had to do something different.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Terminator 2 should bust through the top of that bar graph and start pushing into Planet of the Apes. Same argument could be said for Aliens

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

Hell yeah, I thought terminator 2 would be my favorite actin movie of all time. It was until fury road came and tied with it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed on that, love fury road.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which era of Star Trek are we talking about?

9 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 2

Original movies. This was made well before the new Star Trek or Planet of the Apes movies.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even more because if there's a "trilogy," its II, III, and IV. The first Trek film is pretty standalone.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

There's like 10 movies

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Yeah what the hell?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Judging by how high the sequel rates, I would gather that is Wrath of Khan.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wrath should be a full bar. That movie is a freakin masterpiece of scifi.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Lord of the rings should have all the boxes just completely filled blue.

9 years ago | Likes 473 Dislikes 32

I found most of them too long, and hence a bit boring. The third was definitely the best.

9 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 3

About to say the same thing. Like no completely blue please.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The first didn't have Peter Jackson jacking into his own greatness in it. The next two have parts that utterly undermine some characters.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Movies were a huge dissapointment after the books for me. Everything is so ... smallscale.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 15

They all suck compared to the books. And The Hobbit sucks most of all.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

All they do is a whole lot of walking around. Gandolf could have requested a bird to drop the ring into the lava. Movie is over in 5 mins.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

I think two towers was the best but all are near perfect. ROTK was ridiculously long and cheesy during the outro

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 8

And then right after the Sam/Frodo suck-fest, right before the credits roll, Sam fucking flat-out bricks in Frodo's mouth.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Atleast they didn't have bunch of teddy bears throw a party at the end, could have been worse.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Aww I love the ending, it makes me cry. My friends, you bow to no one. I'm crying right now!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You set me off too. Bawled in the cinema when i saw it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tbh tho if you've read the book they made it as short and un cheesy as possible

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

But managed to not cover the best ending somehow when they return to the shire.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I love that part but I understand why, you can't have two climaxes in a movie, it's the same reason no Tom bombadil

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

A lot of these are more than trilogies.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I believe you are mistaken.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Even making exceptions for intended original trilogies like Star Wars Jaws has had multiple movies, Die Hard has had a LOT of movies,>

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm afraid you seem to have missed the joke.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're referring to Indiana Jones and Star Wars

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Actually I counted those as trilogies but Alien, Terminator, Planet of the Apes, Jaws and Die Hard have all had multiple movies.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Carry on then

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How the fuck are Alien and Aliens not equal? They're both masterpieces in their respective genres, Suspense and action, respectively.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

The first Alien movie was boring AF. Hated it. Aliens was fucking awesome

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

You're clearly more a fan of action movies than suspense. Nothing wrong with that but that doesn't make Alien any less of a masterpiece

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

IMO Aliens was directed a bit better. It is one of a few movies that could get me really emotional.Alien 3 was a spit in the face after that

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well yeah that's a given about 3, but like I said, Aliens and Alien were completely different types of movies. Alien's a perfect example 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Of atmospheric suspense. You don't even really see the fully grown xenomorph til halfway through the movie, it's all about what's not there.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Sorry, is that the dark knight trilogy, because two should be alot higher. Also Die Hard 3 is better than 2

9 years ago | Likes 361 Dislikes 16

No. This graphic is old.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's not. That pic is older than first dark knight movie

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

True and true. Anyone that says different should reconsider their life choices.

Just saw Die Hard 2. No-name bad-guy sucked compared to Jeremy Iron's "I'm a soldier, not a monster." +1.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Concur. Die Hard 2 should be lower and 3 higher. Batman 2 (C Nolan) should be way higher. Terminator 1 > than 2 imho.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Agreed Die Hard 3 is way better than Die Hard 2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What star trek trilogy? What star wars trilogy? What Batman trilogy ?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

THE Star Wars, Star Trek, and Batman trilogies. The originals.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Die hard 3 is the best movie. "You don't like me cause I'm white.""I don't LIKE you cause you're gonna get me killed"

Dark knight is one of the best films ever

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

fanboy

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I assume it's not. Batman, Batman Returns, and Batman Forever would follow those grades pretty well.

9 years ago | Likes 173 Dislikes 2

Hey Batman 89 and returns hold up pretty well.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Batman Forever forever!

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Batman Returns>>>>> The Dark Knight

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What about Batman and Robin? Isn't that part of that series?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

A lot of these series have more than 3 movies. But the premise was just trilogies so they ignored 4+.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was so awful it doesn't even chart. Also it's about threes.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Which Batman movies is that referencing?

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

The Nolan trilogy is the real deal. #2 is the best clearly. #3 is also awesome.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'd assume the original (Tim Burton) trilogy

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

Burton only did two... That era had four movies.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The last two by Joel Schumacher, history's greatest monster!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

No one remembers Uwe Boll?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Except Lost Boys and Flatliners.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good movies, but nah, they don't make up for nipples on the batsuit and the puns and the fucking bat credit card and just so much more.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What are these even measuring? It's just names and numbers with no explanation

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I give this comment a score of 65.3

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I rate it more along the lines of 52.2 M&Ms.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I give this comment 5/7

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The third back to the future should be higher

9 years ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 9

ZZ Top!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All of them should be higher, they were all brilliant

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

They were all the same movie.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

Even though I came to appreciate it much more later on, I can't disagree that BttF2 comes off as the weakest of the 3.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Exactly this.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grew up on BttF one and three and loved them so much. Two was okay.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 28

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every even numbered Indiana Jones movie is somehow always subpar to the odd ones. Which is why I want a 5th one.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Indiana Jones 5: the lost archives of the retirement home

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That would be all well and good, except they never made a 4th one. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. Lying I tell you.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's what I was thinking. Indiana Jones 1,2,3 then 5? That's confusing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Last Crusade is the best in my opinion

9 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

By far the best:

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep. Especially the father-son dynamic had comedy but also emotion at its core.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No love for the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

I disagree, respectfully. But either way, alien 3 was bleh...i'm not even going to mention resurrection...okay, i kinda liked resurrection

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Most people i think lean the other way on that one man.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Glad it's not just me

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Overall Aliens was a better movie, Alien was way scarier because it was so claustrophobic and tense, but as a movie not quite as good.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are just 2 completely different things that cannot be compared in their own merit. But I actually appreciate it in this case, 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

because sending military seems like a genuine and logical development of 1st movie events, while survival horror would be, while true 2/3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

to the source, still just more of the same. So it's more about overall plot of the series, than maintaining the formula 3/3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I put alien-aliens on the same scale as godfather part i-part ii. Both are better than the other, can't pick a favorite

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

"Both are better than the other." I am stealing this, it's awesome! :-)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No aliens is better by a smudge... though I did see aliens first

Pretty sure Speilberg has said the only great thing that came from Temple of Doom was the fact he met his wife during production.

A less-great but epochal thing: the PG-13 rating, because ppl were upset by a PG movie that showed a heart ripped from someone's chest.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

i liked temple of doom...

No, the second one sucked. Riding a motorcycle between a dinosaur's legs? Really? And we'd be able to control a T Rex pretty easily.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1 ~ 90%. 2~70%. 3~30%

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

jurassic park 2 fucking rules. 3 shouldn't exist and should just be replaced with 4.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

4 sucked.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Yeah i think the first 2 should be pretty full. Third ehhh like a third because it wasn't terrible.

9 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 7

I dunno. 2 is fun if you just want to see dinos wreck things up but I feel like it's not all that good in other aspects.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

+1 JP and LW were fantastic for me as a kid in the theater. JP3 sucked bigly.

except for the part where tea leoni and william h macy are the biggest most annoying idiots in that hemisphere haha

I really liked Jurassic world, better than 2. Its similar to 3 in that its just an entertaining dinosaur action movie. I went in wanting 1/2

to see cool dinosaur action and that's exactly what I got. I actually thought they were going to mess it up with weird mutant Dinos, but no.

My favorite parts of the JP movies have been when our heroes are stuck out in the jungle on foot and have to walk back without getting (1)

The first should be maxed purely because it has better cgi than most others on this list and it pioneered cgi.

That's what I was gonna say. No superman movie is better than JP1. Michael Creighton is a genius.
