Ya know, Kirk gets a lot of flack for his battle with Khan in this movie, and rightly so to a degree... but you have to remember that the Enterprise in this fight is just a skeleton crew that's 90% cadets. Those young people did an amazing job for something they were NOT prepared to handle. Great film, writing and performances by everyone involved.

I loved how much like a real submarine they made the ships in TOS movies. They had not exactly a steam punk feel, but a very mechanic super advanced future, it was loads of fun to watch.

Wrath of Khan is the first film I ever saw in theaters, according to my parents. They said the sitter cancelled at the last minute so they just took me with them to the theater. Apparently I was being a fussy baby, but when the opening score hit I immediately went quiet and stayed spellbound the entire film. I have no idea why they didn’t just skip the movie and try for another night but they say I enjoyed it.

Ok, the thing with this scene that doesn't make any sense is that the crew didn't know what ship they were being assigned to - just they were being taken to a ship. No info whatsoever. That's not how Starfleet works though. Starfleet personnel are given their ship assignments and those assignments are communicated to them in advance of beginning their assignment. It's inconsistent and doesn't make sense. And don't tell me Starfleet did something special for just them. It breaks protocol.

ENT uniforms look the most like actual modern uniforms. If you went to any random company and saw their employees dressed like ENT crew members without the show existing you wouldn't think much of it at all. I think that's why they have such a strong love/hate dichotomy, either they're too current and folks hate them, or they're super comfortably current and folks love them.

I have a soft spot for practicality. Really fits the aesthetics of the show. Wouldve liked to see maybe the engineers/other crew of later ships use uniforms like that while officers in other divisions used the more futuristic dress like uniforms.

I liked them at the time but now they kinda look like home made shit. tbh all Trek uniforms aside from II on of classic cast aged poorly. Look like pajamas. Orville has nice updated look tho. Has that TNG vibrancy but still look like actual uniforms

Oddly, enterprise uniforms make the most sense for me. They're functional and purposeful for a military vessel. While I love the purple velour uniforms of late DS9, they seem more dress uniforms than functional daily use uniforms
