There's two types of coffee in my life. A Tim Hortons medium double double or instant. Everything else is dirty tap water.

Cuts out the bitterness of dark roasts, great way to taste the coffee properly too. Only needs a couple of drops

Not if you only use a few drops, you can use a little more for a dark roast. It is a little trial and error to suit how bitter you like it
