It was a month ago yesterday.
I noticed some weight loss a year ago at thanksgiving. She insisted she was fine until a bunch of us cornered her at my cousins wedding in September.
She reluctantly went to the dr and got antibiotics for pneumonia.
After 4 rounds of antibiotics she agreed to get some tests done.
I went with Dad to help get her to have her lung drained and have an ultrasound. Mom had a panic attack going in to the hospital so I practically shoved her in the building. Two days later she was dead.
A month later I still don't feel like it's real. Work is normal. I still pay my bills. It's like it happened to somebody else.

Sorry for your loss. Be as strong as she would expect you to be and be the legacy she deserves. She will live on in the stories you tell.

The truth is that it will never be normal, the pain won't go away, but you should remember the good times with your mother. Remember the 1/2

The good times was not the what could have been and you'll be bettter for it. Godspeed OP
