Add salt at the end to keep eggs softer and fluffier. Adding salt before cooking stiffens the whites. Chill cunts

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sel - salt Poivre - pepper. for the non frenchies Cunts - people. For the non Australian cunts.

Instructions unclear: I tried to peel a potato with one finger as in #1 and it didn't spin around and the skin is still intact.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

That's because you're not french.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mais bien sûr ! J'avais tenté d'éplucher la patate en anglais alors qu'il fallait le faire en français. Quel con je fais ! Merci l'ami !

A PBJ in hand is better than two in the bush on the internet, or whatever.

Pear, brie, and jambon, the best!

POS PBJ new band name dibs

This movie has always held a special place in my heart. Bc the chef was singing to a dead fish.

#2 If I don't have normal persil, is it ok if I use this type?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I knew it. It's a Tide ad.

those fucking French, stealing a Spanish recipe as is the tortilla de patata and putting his stinky cheese inside

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Okay, I'm french...And what the fuck is this ?!!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

omelette tartiflette remix ?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fun thing, the French word for Potato, "pommes de terre" translates as "Apples of the earth"

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

In germany we call them "erdäpfel" too :D so earth apple or ground apple

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Better than pomme de cheval.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Earth Apple, Earth Apple... won't you be mine?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Olde Times, every fruit was refered as an apple

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Putting a reblochon in a spanish omelette is an heresy and does not make your cuisine more french

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna try something similar to this, but with sliced rulo.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

anyone have a link to the actual recipe? want to know proportions so i can make it

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

3 potatoes, 1 onion, 6 eggs

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

...and one Reblochon.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

had to look that up - thats a whole lot of cheese for one meal

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't think it's the kind of thing you need to be super accurate with. Looks like 3 potatoes, 1 onion, 6 eggs.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Looks like more than 6 eggs too. Shows potato/onion going into 6 eggs, then shows eggs on bottom, brie, then pour eggs/potatoes over top

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The dog looks just like mine. I showed this to my husband and he said 'what the hell, make them give our dog back!'

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh plz share! OP is my wife and we never see other dogs that look like our sweet old girl.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is one of my favorites of her. She's an old lady, too. https://imgur.com/EhWUN4E

It's all in the ears and furrowed brow. <3 My girl sits just like that, too, slidy feet and all. https://imgur.com/VFxBigZ

Omg, that’s our girl! Yeah, she constantly has a stern look on her face, but she’s such a sweetheart. @castlemacaw

Haha! Another bone mouth Shar Pei! Love them :)

I thought French omelettes didn't have any browning? This looks more like a Spanish tortillas no?

8 years ago | Likes 104 Dislikes 3

It's a nice twist on the classic "tortilla de patatas" (potato omelette). Gotta try cooking it soon but with "rulo the cabra" (goat cheese).

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep it is a Tortilla/Frittata. Also if I read french cooking I'm thinking of Hauté cuisine, not fried potatoes.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 7

It's the other way around. I read Reblochon, I think French cooking, no matter what else is in there.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And you're soooo missing, my dear friend. French street food FTW !

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yes that’s the Spanish Omlette my Filo wife makes. And it’s amazing.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Reblochon is French. Omelette is French. I'm French. It's good to be French.. You can also mix me with everything you want. Et voilà !

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

my omelette have browning, I'm french, therefore french omelettes can have browning

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like a frittata to me.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is a lot like a Spanish potato omelet (tortilla española) - good catch :)

8 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 0

I'm from Spain, this was my first thought.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The French person in me (i.e. my bf) is horrified by this video.

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 3

Your BF was in you while watching this and horrified?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

As a French I can confirm. This is a crime against cheese. I feel nauseous

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As a French, I will just pretend I only saw the first two gifs.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As a French, i will eat this even on breakfast..

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's no wrong time to eat Reblochon, no wrong way either.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

French omelettes can be cooked in various ways. That doesn't make them Spanish ^^

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

you can cook the omelet whit surrender

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

But in international kitchen speak a French style omelette is quite specific.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh I see but "international kitchen speak" doesn't exist, we all see from our point of view. Germans dont eat french fries, 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they eat "pommes frittes" (and it's from belgium btw ^^), but I get your point about it being a foreign, because I can assure France has 2/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a lot of different kinds of scrambled eggs ^^, potatoes, mushrooms, cheese, etc, rare, well cooked, etc but not one with tortilla ^^ ofc 3/3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My chick always calls my tortillas burnt .. im like BITCH THAT'S THE FLAVOR! (I grew up in a Mexican family, all i had was burnt tortillas)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah well, these so-called facebook French cooking channels aren't doing French cuisine at all. They only drench various things in cheese.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

True, but at least Roblochon is French

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah it could've been worse haha

I think the oc is from "chef club" page. 90% of their recipes contain cheese, bacon, potatoes and/or pastey...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup, young people in France are getting obsessed with cheese and bacon so it's only normal for these pages to feature these ingredients in -

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

- their recipes, but it isn't representative of French cuisine. That said, I'm French and I still love cheese and bacon, but sometimes too -

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

- much is too much !

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a lot of French food are foods from another region which they have hijacked and label it as French food

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 11

Every country has those. In Austria Wiener Schnitzel is from Milan, Gulasch from Hungary, Kipferl/Croissants and coffee from Turkey/Arabia.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Modern French cuisine was “adopted” from visiting Japanese student chefs in the 60s. Sauce ->

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s just from a cooking club in France so I think it’s fair to say they’re building off of the Spanish dish... but are still French cooks

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Frim a cooking club? Ah, that explains a lot.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

This is the "chef club" page on fb. It's more a "bacon&cheese" cooking page than a french cooking page.

France is not a region but a collection of regions with different cultures. There are cultural overlaps between countries near the borders.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

sharing similar cultures due to overlap is one thing. calling someone elses dishes as french is another. look at Belgium fries, 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

originated and cultural pride of Belgium. what did French do? served it to WW2 troops and slapped their label of French fries.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Only North American call them French fries. Why is a mystery. https://frenchly.us/we-do-we-call-french-fries-french-fries

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a French, we don't call it french fries. Just "frites".
