An Update on the Mobile Apps, What’s Next, and Puppies!

You may have heard the news: Imgur’s mobile apps now have search and grid view! This is great news for the many Imgurians who enjoy using our mobile apps, but what about those of you who just tolerate the experience or have uninstalled the apps in frustration?

We want you to know that we read every review on the app stores and log every complaint or suggestion. We try to live by the tenet “everything is an iteration”; meaning we will always be improving, learning, and listening to our community.

We come before you today to tell you about the progress we’ve made on our mobile apps as well as our plans for the future. We hope you’ll read through and be inspired to use our mobile apps as well as share your thoughts on them.

Creating An App As Awesome As Our Desktop Site

Simply put, our goal is to make it easy to enjoy the full Imgur experience wherever you go. This is not something we can achieve overnight, but rest assured it is our number one priority as a company. We’re making this happen by adding features, fixing bugs, improving GIF performance, increasing the number of crash free sessions, and hiring an awesome team to do it.
