the worst part is the "I should a don this years ago" Don't let that regret get you, just enjoy not carrying all that extra weight, go do stuff that was too uncomfy before :D
I'm going on ozempic (well, Wagewy or whatever it's called) next week. The GLP-1 drugs are rapidly dropping in price, and will soon be affordable for all. They're also soon available to all in pill form, rather than through a needle.
All of the side-effects are basically the same as "If person stopped losing weight rapidly anyway", so like, slight tiredness, entering ketosis etc. Very, very doable.
Here's my take: In Q1 2026, if you can't afford the drug and your BMI is >30, then just wait 1/x
2/x until the price comes down, because it is coming down. Currently about ~$150-250 a month (!!), more if you have a high BMI (>30).
The reason why you should wait is because only ~4-5% of all people who have been overweight for at least 3-5 years, make it. That's the bitter truth I've learned from being >30 BMI for 8+ years now. 95% or so just can't lose the weight and keep it off.
The reason why can be found if you do research, but TL;DR: Your body is used to a high calorie intake after
Welp, I've been going in the opposite direction: 220 -> 235 ish. If I can figure out how to sleep without booze, that will be a big boon fore me. Good for you!

Dude, that's fantastic! I was stuck at 200 (from 315) for a while and I recently got back to 195.
Hell of a journey, huh?
Great job bud!
Hashbrown123
I'm stuck around 200 now. I think it is because I am also putting on muscle so the rate of fat loss to new muscles balances out.
Teratoid
200 was a psychological wall for me.

My high was around 310 to 315. I was around 280 for several years and now down to 260 before the holidays and kept it off now to get to 240.

They're pedophilic child killers who should be shot in the street?
Wow, that's a strong stance, but I guess we should all go along with it and grab our guns
