Your left or my left?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive seen this joke many many times, but its usually been about Detroit and Michigan

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also in michigan

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Chelsea they drive wherever the spirit level says.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same with the colder parts of America.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

All these dramatic temperature changes have been devastating to roads.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yesterday I learned what it feels like to be inside a brand new Merc SUV the moment when a pothole sends its suspension back to hell.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How do you spot a drunk driver in Michigan? They drive straight.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh, i have only seen this joke with about half the northern US states, England and couple of poor countries.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those look like my cities roads. Hit a massive hole today didn’t know it was so large because it just looked like a puddle. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 too bad our insurance doesn’t cover road hazards which it should because it’s a government run insurance. Damn city not fixing roads.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should drive in Michigan sometime

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ah, Michigan: where the Legislature raised the gas tax to fix the roads - starting in 2019, after the representatives have term limited out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would happily pay that tax it that means i wont get a flat tire due to some damn crater

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dont ever dare come to india....

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where tf is this?! I’m in Alberta and even our roads aren’t this bad. I mean, they’re not great, but dayyyyum.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's in russia, i guess, because i see russian cars

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was raining in Gatineau and visibility was poor. I actually pulled over to check if I was, in fact, driving on a road. I was.

8 years ago | Likes 140 Dislikes 1

I'm in Montreal and heard roads are only bad here. Are they really bad in the rest of Canada too?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I no longer go to Gatineau because everything about my car is illegal there

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In Nova Scotia they put rumble strips along both sides of the highway so you can't drive off. Doesn't work during thick snowfall though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The pothole on slater at bronson in Ottawa is large enough to swim in after all this precipitation....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gatineau is a terrible mess. The second I cross the bridge is have to brace for pothole city

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Gatineau is the reason why my brand new car needed an alignment after just eight months

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

One of the main reasons I avoid going to Hull this time of year. And this year is particularly bad.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but soon you get to deal with a summer of construction to mend the potholes before they come back in winter!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like Winnipeg.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Michigan the roads have gone even further south

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You export them to Ohio?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From the news I read, it seems like your entire state has gone further south than Florida.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’d say in England we do both of these. Avoiding big holes in the road is a daily event.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Driving in the south east at the moment, after the snow is fucking torture

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My route to work has a road surface similar to the moon.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My council has a budget for paying for damage to people’s cars as a result of the bad roads rather than a budget to fix the roads.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Calgary they barely have roads because the mayor spends all their money on giant hula hoops and calls it art

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

Considering that money came out of a preexisting art budget he wasn't spending shit. My entire family works for roads, they do what they can

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Just like Edmonton's giant silver balls on the side of the road by a bridge

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fellow Calgarian, bruh that was one time. Also, Calgary is waay better than Toronto's roads

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That isn't how it works. Its been colder than normal for far longer, which means temperatures haven't been up to what's needed for road(1/?)

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

repairs, as you need warm weather otherwise asphalt won't stick. That's why there's so many more potholes to notice now because over (2/?)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

this winter, they haven't had much of a chance to get to fixing the potholes as they appear. (3/3)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Shut up Meg

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

In India we don't have anything left so we don't care.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Here in Quebec we say we have 2 seasons: winter and construction.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good god. You are better off taming and riding a wild moose.

8 years ago | Likes 281 Dislikes 2

It's been done before, it will be done again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too expensive to feed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have that in my posts lol

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Is...isn't that the local custom anyway?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The swedish military successfully traines moose but had issues feeding them in combat

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Insuriance premiums are too high

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ARK Canadian Edition.

A møøse once bit my sister. No realli! She was karving her initials on the møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Careful you might get fired for that comment

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's the solution?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

stay at home and imgur

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We fix the roads constantly. In the city of Toronto alone we fill something like 200,000 potholes every year

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Concrete roads instead of asphalt.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

No better, unfortunately. They crack and frost heave.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Make all roads gravel roads again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's cArBOn TaX

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never go anywhere.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you ask the Ontario govt. they'll say the solution is more taxes

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Not if youre Doug Ford.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Clearly covering up your brothers drug habit makes you qualified organize a provincial budget.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Preach!!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Ah, you're one of those. So what to cut to fix the roads: Healthcare? Education? Social Services?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

No need to cut anything. They just need to prioritize more efficiently.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

rt

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Trudeau would say more trips for him and his family, less pipelines, more immigrants and some weed. That should fix roads and everything.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yes because roads are the perview of the federal government...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meet with a group that's been victimized, apologize and cry in public, then throw money at them.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Oh boy. Canada we done fucked up. Andrew Scheer please help us.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Move to Switzerland

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Move.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dirt roads. Dirt is the waterbear of roads. It gives no fucks and takes care of itself. Then again it's hard to paint dirt.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You get washboards with dirt. Still get potholes too. No thanks.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

See also: Wisconsin. Roads are trash, at least in some parts. Winter fucks asphalt up the ass

8 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 1

Texas. No state income tax = someone has to die before the road gets fixed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think our roads are pretty good up here in NW WI considering the frost

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, no. Wisconsin roads are fucking great. Depending on the county I guess but honestly in my experience... better than MN or MI.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Northern Alberta, frost heaves galore. Roller coaster with pot holes=busy tire&rim shops

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's cuz it's swiss roads in wisconsin, like the cheese.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

South Louisiana. We don't need no damn winter for our roads to be fucked up.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

WI roads are equal or better than any neighboring state so just shut your butt, buddy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota. Et cetera. (The snow is finally melting here in MN

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Yay for the salt belt...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

MN is actually a lot better than wis. I live in SE MN, travel to wis to visit family and there is a definite difference

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

(that's because that part of MN has money)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every Vikings fan just cheered when they read your comment.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In Wales...we also drive on the left. WHY CAN PEOPLE NOT SAY UK OR GB? we exist in Wales, Scotland and northern Ireland too you know!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Are you expressing envy for English recognition?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. It's just so annoying when ppl refer to 4 different countries as England

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fare, most of us Americans only know Welch as a maker of Jams and Jellys. It'd be the same as someone from the UK not knowing all 2/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/ 50 states. Of course many Americans can't be bothered to learn those either.

Ask me about the one—ONE—entrance/exit to the parking lot of the nearest subway station, here in Montreal. Go ahead, ask me!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Soooo -- *tell* me about this one entrance/exit to the parking lot of the nearest subway station, there in Montreal: sound like a fun tale!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hah! Horrible. To the city's credit, there's a beautiful chunk of green space right next to the subway station and its parking lot... 1/x

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

...and technically that's a second way out of that parking lot, but not for cars. The sole entrance/exit has been patched and...2/x

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

...patched—I don't know that it technically qualifies as pavement, any longer. They need to re-do it, but it's a very high-volume lot. 3/x

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They would be trading extreme short-term pain for long-term gain. Unless they could temp. route traffic through the ball diamond. Busy area!
