Meet Hunter, the wonder dog

I found this puppy wondering down a known dumping spot for dogs and cats. I could tell he was young. 4-5 months to be exact. I stopped, couldn't see him anymore. He had crawled under my car to escape the heat. I opened the car door and he jumped in.

I took him to the vet, he had no chip. Posted on local lost and found pet pages. Nothing. We noticed for being a puppy, he wasnt hyper. Very well mannered and mellow.

He didnt move alot and liked to stay under the couch. We got worried when he started vomitting. We took him to the vet. He had parvo.

He was given a 30% chance of survival. That he probably had, had parvo for about a week. (We only had him 2 days before the vet visit) Hell, the meds to save him originally cost $850 but the vet felt so bad he was going to die, he only charged us $350. My fiancee and i decided to take him home and try to save him.

After a day on meds, he started playing with chew toys.

Day 3, he started to get a smile on his face.

Day 7, he had some energy and finally wanted to be walked.

He loves to roll in our field and lay under the trees.

This is him after his follow up visit to the vet. Hes officially survived when no one else thought he would. He started at 34lbs when we found him. Its been a month and hes now up to 45lbs (little fat ass). And this is apparently how you get a dog.

Also to the douchebags who dumped him because he got sick: fuck you!
