What a rebel.

That and notification ads.

If the app asks you if you like it. Always pick the “no” option. Most of the time it won’t even ask for a review and will stop asking.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Why'd you rate us less than 5 stars? Hey! Why? Hey! Come on, answer!"

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

See... this is exactly why.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Like YouTube ads asking me to up or down vote... I've downvoted every last one of them, sometimes don't even know what the ad's for.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the idea!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's annoying when you've used the app for 5 minutes and it asks you to rate it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got an app that wants me to give it ”5 stars or rate later”. Hate it but need the app.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I give a 1 star and leave "WON'T STOP BUGGING ME TO RATE THIS APP, SO HERE. 1 STAR ENJOY."comment.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that's super helpful

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

give it 1 star, it remembers it, never opens, then you are saying to yourself; this was the best app ever.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh you scoundrel

8 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 2

Do you at least tell them why?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unless it's a game and they give extra goodies for a 5 star rating. And once you get the goodies you change it to 1 star.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I bet you had to pay a pile of money for that free app as well.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ahhh, the popups. Wanna know a good way to make me not wanna go to a website again? Ask if you can send me push notifications. Big. Nope.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You can permanently disable all sites from soliciting them under advanced settings > content settings in Chrome.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

OK if you paid for the app, but you're a dick if you do this for a free one.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

thankfully they generall have a "dont show again" button so i dont have to rate something

Is that Gooby bear?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I automatically thumbs down YouTube ads. Fuck you I just want to watch disneyworld videos.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I dislike any YouTube video that asks me to like it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"Don't forget to SMASH that like button guys!"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Make sure to subscribe and hit the bell icon. We noticed that 78.9% of you are not subscribed. Please do so since that would really help.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same. Also apps that abuse notifications to push ads at me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it takes balls to make such confession

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 3

Not really, this is top tier anonymity

I have a concussion, I don’t get this joke

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

you don't get sarcasm, do you?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not right now.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1 I do that with Amazon purchases when the seller keeps nagging me. Look bitch, I just got your fucking item. I'll write a review

8 years ago | Likes 355 Dislikes 5

My favorite are when they send mass emails to handle product questions, so 90% of the answers given are "I don't know, I don't have one."

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

those messages are send on auto , has mostly nothing to do with the seller . You are just making amazon punish them ( each one star counts -

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

If you rate the seller badly yeah, but if you rate the item badly how does that punish the seller except for the item not being well rated?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I usually get those messages before my product even arrives and I'm on prime next day.

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

2 after about a month when I've had time to actually use it.

8 years ago | Likes 192 Dislikes 1

I write a review when a product / seller is either really good or really bad. If a nagger sends three emails they get a bad one. That's spam

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I like when I get bugged to review before it even makes it to my door

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

That's a guaranteed bad review

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What if an app asks you explicitedly not to rate it?

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Then of course I'm giving 5 ???? and a wordy review.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Do not paypal me $20. That's an order.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't send nudes please.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Naked cock pic incoming https://imgur.com/fRfLrLc.jpg

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s the amount of pettiness we can all relate to.

8 years ago | Likes 1250 Dislikes 6

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I only get this petty if the app ask for a rating in the first 2 minutes. FFS let me at least get it set up first.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

ESPECIALLY if it keeps asking me after i fucking gave it a rating.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Yuuup. Every 5th time using it.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

i'm lookin' at you, Outlook

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a developer, I don’t blame you. But it’s really the only way to maybe get positive feedback. No one rates an app until they hate it

8 years ago | Likes 134 Dislikes 3

This is why I like apps that ask once with options "yes, no, don't ask again" and makes the choice persist even if uninstall / reinstall.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He said, sarcastically.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's kinda cheating to ask if the user likes the app before you redirect them to the rating page. Also it interrupts use and changes the...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

active app to the app store or web browser and you have to hike back to where you came from which is EXTREMELY frustrating.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Maybe query a flag on your web site so you can stop asking once you have sufficient positive ratings.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is what I do with receipt surveys. There's a restaurant I go to once a day. Gave them zeroes for 2 weeks straight due to bad service.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fair enough. I get surveyed as well and I didn't my best to earn a good rating

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And on that note, I wish more people would take them. Name dropping is such a quick, easy way to give someone meaningful props.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(It's McDonalds. Only one around. 4/5 times, order was wrong. Complaining didn't change anythng, but shitting on their survey scores did!)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why? I get it if they are extremely pushy with it, but asking for feedback to me is appreciated AND *very* important for the dev.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Also, I'm not a fan of when apps(games in particular) ask me to rate it prematurely. Do it when I'm invested into the game.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not when I'm still figuring shit out and hardly got a clue what the hell is going on.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a bit funny but as an multimedia design student these ratings have a purpose. We adjust and tweak based on research meaning that 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

if people keep falsely rating things we have no visible indication on how to improve an app that you are using, so next time you have 2/3

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

an app that doesn't work or has some stupid functionality, you can thank people like OP who make developing stuff much harder

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Here's one way to improve it: Stop pushing notifications. People really hate those.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Here's one way to get rid of a notification. Just rate it once, and it probably won't pop up anytime soon

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So it rewards me for giving it an automatic 0/5? Awesome

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously, if you want honest reviews, incentivize it somehow. Force people and you get shit data.
