My ex-wife was in the movie biz... I've had the pleasure of meeting him twice. Charming, smart and unassuming. Very nice man.

9 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 2

Unassuming... Is he why she's your ex?

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Haha! Swiggety-swootey :-)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I met him once in '94 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, can concur. Nice guy. I'm not at all surprised by the sweet castle and restoration.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yep. She interviewed a lot of stars who would show up w big entourage. One of the bigger stars of the era, he walks in solo & just delivered

We all over here living in 2017 and he's living in 1717.

9 years ago | Likes 171 Dislikes 3

Looks like a Norman style, I would guess more like 1217.

9 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

That particular castle, Kilcoe Castle, was built around 1450. Fell into ruin in the early 17th century, Irons spent 12 years restoring it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Takes a lotta cash to live like it's the past

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Seeing pictures like this makes me very proud to be Irish

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The amazing Kilcoe Castle, in West Cork, Ireland. He had it restored to perfection by local craftsman. I admire him and Daniel Day Lewis.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Did Daniel Day Lewis restore another castle or did you just throw out another admirable gentleman?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

two of my favourites I like them as actors as well as persons. they stay out of the spotlight. i like that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a method actor DDL accidentally raised a fiefdom and became its lord, commissioning a castle of his own. The mortar; peasant bones.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yep that's pretty sweet. Gonna have to research that one

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good luck, I literally pulled it out of my arse.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Jeremy Irons lives in a castle and wears Crocs. He really is just like us! (I'm fucking envious, though.)

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Whay kind of rich lookin' crocs is this? They look costum made

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Only our castles are in the air

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wonder how the wifi signal is

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thick stone walls, taller than it is wide? Unless you've got APs in like, every room: Awful.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was thinking that but if probably pay the extra to have it in every room of my castle. Don't like wires running everywhere

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you can afford to renovate a castle, you can afford really, really pretty wire control.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I wish I could afford to renovate a castle

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's quite a fortress of solitude. Seriously, he could use that as a super hero base. Be some kind of Jeremy Irons Man.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I want that castle. And Jeremy Irons can stay, too.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I never knew that I wanted to grow up to be Jeremy irons until now.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Anyone else see the DANGER ERECTION IN PROGRESS sign. I need that.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#3 "I love hearing you play" #15 "okay stop already, Christ"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't like photos like #10 . I can never tell if it's going up or down.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Up.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that would be the bit of the castle I would never use...I would die.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How can no one have mentioned his sweet fucking dog?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

#4 TIL Jeremy Irons woodshed has a sign that reads: "Danger! Erections in Progress"

9 years ago | Likes 347 Dislikes 3

Seem to be two different signs.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

And a boat named "willing lass".

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

his boat is called the 'Willing Lass'

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Erecting a Dispenser!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 895 Dislikes 2

"[..] that he loves 'touching' people, and he expected that if any "self-respecting woman" minded she would simply tell him to "f*** off.""

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was pretty much my name when I first saw him in Die Hard 3

That was pretty much my name when I heard him speak in the lion king

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I use to deliver milk to this house. That was a thing 15years ago in Ireland. This is West Cork. He is a normal dude

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

I remember we still had the glass bottles of milk delivered to our home in the southeast U.S. in the early 80's. Ah, the good old days...

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Up to the year 2000 in my corner of New Zealand. I miss the glass bottles.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a Cork man aswell. Living in the south

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

South of what?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want a castle. I'm moving soon and there are apartments that look medieval in the area I'm looking at. #wattleanddaub

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

even his dinner plates are rustic

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i wonder if he has central air conditioning or not. I know it would cost a fortune to renovate a castle with it.but i feel it would be worth

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Why would you need an AC with thick walls like that in Ireland of all places? It's not Arizona, it's Ireland, green green Ireland.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

simply because there is no way a normal family could keep all the rooms sufficiently warm or cooled during the winter.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Would you need air conditioning in Ireland? Probably not often enough to warrant the expense.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I rarely marvel at a house, etc. but this is so cool.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a black guy, I want a castle in Ireland, and will not mind being referred to as "black irishman"

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You'd be called fear gorm (pronounced far gurrum) which literally means blue man!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It would just be black Irish, but that's still cool

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ahhh :) and hell yeah, I am with that

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Always wet.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Translation: Total Slut

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Plus he has Geoffrey Rush as his violinist to boot!

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

"willing lass," you know, because of the implication.

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

Well, she was warned about the erection.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that dude owns a motherfuckin castle?! Fuck me sideways

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

In Ireland, there are many islands/ruined castles that you can just buy. But it takes time a money to restore, so most people dont do it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So, that's what he did with all that gold he stole from the federal reserve. Cool.

9 years ago | Likes 409 Dislikes 1

Mate, when you're a god-ruler in charge of an army that spans the continent, you do what you want.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Simon says "Fuck you! That's the e-ex-xact comment I was going to make!"

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Let me ask you a question, bonehead. Why are you trying to k-k-k-k-kill me?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People make fun of that movie but i fucking love die hard 3. Plus I'll always know how to get exactly 4 gallons of water

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

It's my second favorite of those, behind the original naturally. Also a super good stand alone movie other than the 4 minutes of story line.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't it the 2nd one they make fun of? the third is my personal favorite.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

2nd movie WAS the bad one, then the 5th one came out. The 4th one was fun just because it was so ridiculous.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Nah the fifth one with his son was the garbage one.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's true. tbh I like the 2nd one too. for me it goes 3/1/4----2------------5. 5th would work as a regular movie, just not a die hard.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Such a good movie. One of my favs.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Jeremy Irons should have played Stannis in GoT.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That would've been amazing.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ikr? He would be PERFECT for the role. The old worn out and embittered claimant grinding his teeth as he thinks of all the traitors...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can totally see that. Why did you fail us GoT?!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The fools. THE FOOLS!
