Looks cool however if that was opal, I’m not sure why you would break it in half like that.
It's not "An opal" it's a rock with a seam of opal running through it, essentially a Quartz intrusion.
Thank you, I see what you are saying... I was just observing the opal section by the thumb which to me, would make it appear as a solid opal
There is one thing worth mentioning; to some collectors who understand what the item is, the "Beauty" is in the reveal and so the item 1/2
can actually be worth more whole. Like an unexploded firework. Even if they never intended to open it themselves. 2/2.
