That's a leopard slug. Banana slugs are yellow. Like a banana.

Well, I didn't see that you left a reply months ago. Thanks for the info! How do you tell the difference between a banana and leopard slug?

Usually by the spots but it's possible that is a Pacific banana slug. Banana slugs are solid yellow but Pacific ones have spots too.

I'm in Oregon, and just assumed all slugs like this were banana slugs. Had no idea leopards ate them!

I have yet to see a bright yellow one, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Such a cool color.
