I couldn't figure out where the connector was to enable diagnostic mode on the ABS (antilock brakes) system on my 2008 Suzuki VStrom DL650A. With help from the fine folks at at stromtroopers.com, I finally did. There was a request for photos, so here they are. This shows the left side of the bike with the left rear body panel removed, which is unfortunately necessary and rather a PITA to take off.
Zoom in to see the white connector. Some other documentation (probably the Suzuki service manual?) has a picture of it, showing it to be white. So why the problem finding it?
Because it's normally completely enveloped in this black rubber cover. It doesn't look white.
But we can see the black/white and orange wires, which lets us know that this is the connector. Jumper those two together and turn on the bike, and the ABS light on the dash blinks out a code.
