It's been nearly a week since I've sold both of my horses and I'm both sad and happy at the same time. I'm sad because the biggest love of my life is gone but I'm happy because they went to a really good home. My mare is settling in nicely and is a real doll under saddle and the gelding is doing well with lots of round pen work. It's not gonna get easier since each time I look out to the back yard I'll just miss seeing them. I'll survive though. I have to.

Why did you give them away can't ride or can't afford anymore?

I sold them because it was too dangerous for them to stay with me. They were being targeted because our next door neighbor we rented from 1/

I have taken horses from people before mostly for free but I always allow them to come ride or see anytime as long as they call first

just took his property back without warning so we had to make the hard decision and sell them. Things would have been worse for the 2/

horses here had we not went and sold them to someone who was out in the country that wanted them for 4-h 3/3

But they will allow you to ride anytime right? And come see them.

Yep! The lady that bought them was really nice and said she'd let me come out and see them.
