Heath Ledger's was still the best.

After watching the preview for the new Joker movie, I find myself extremely disappointed. The Joker isn't meant to be an antihero or a pathetic sob story. The new movie certainly makes him look like one though. The Joker is a psychopath. He is an agent of mayhem and chaos.
I know some versions of his backstory have him start out as a failed comedian or low level criminal, but that isn't the Joker I want to see on the big screen.
I want to see a Joker who you would have no problem believing would shoot someone for sitting at the table he wanted to sit at in a restaurant. I want a Joker that street thugs wouldn't dare beat up.
Leto's Joker barely played a secondary role in Suicide Squad, but when he was on screen you knew he was capable of anything. Phoenix's Joker doesn't come off as the type that would ever be able to manipulate one of his doctor's into falling in love with him, he doesn't even seem the type who could get one to pity fuck him.
Now Heath Ledger was a great Joker. Leto's Joker would look different, but correct, dressed in a nurses outfit ready to blow up a hospital, while what was shown of Phoenix's would just look like a joke at a bachelor party.
Maybe he'll be better in the movie when he becomes the Joker, but I really don't want a Joker backstory movie. I want a Joker movie where from the very beginning you are worried about what he is going to do to screw with people next. If it is a Joker movie then I want to watch the world burn. I want a Joker story where you are afraid to watch but to drawn in to look away.
The new Joker movie certainly won't be this and it leaves me disappointed.

But Joker is a Cult leader, not some punk ass bitch gang guy.

Joker isn't a cult leader he is a criminal mastermind, psychopath, and gangleader. There isn't a church of the Joker.

A. You don't know what a cult is. And B... you're just wrong.

Anthony Misiano has the best Joker look. Fight me.

Yeah, but he doesn't have a movie coming out.

As long as you acknowledge Mark Hamill does the best voice no fight needed

Oh, without question.

I think it's got potential. The Joker I know should've been the average guy that wants to laugh in a city of hardships. Phoenix Joker...

It looks good.

could be that guy. I just hope it's written well enough that the eventual "snap" will be satisfying.

Joquin's Joker will end up as the Joker you're pining over. Maybe it will end with him in Arkham, and the movie was him spinning a yarn >

I can relate to a normal man critically breaking down into the monster we all love than a tattooed, grilled, gangbanger failing to scare me.
