Flag Officer got Schooled

I was at a local grocery store and saw an older gentleman get out of his car and start to walk towards the store and a very full of himself retired flag officer was hauling ass through the parking lot and nearly hit the guy walking. The guy walking then started to yell at the flaggie about how people need to try and not kill each other in parking lots and also referencing his time in the military and how officers like the flaggie make enlisted men like him really dislike officers. The flaggie then started in on the other guy and telling him that since he was enlisted he outranks him and needs to shut the fu*k up. The guy walking then tells the flaggie that it is funny that he thinks that he outranks him since very few people can actually outrank him. Then he proceeded to pull a Congressional Medal of Honor out of his pocket and the flaggie then stammered out an apology, and salute, and drive off. I have seen this guy around town a few times since he has CMoH plates on his car, and asked him why he carries the medal with him. He replied that he does it to honor those that did not have a chance to carry after they were presented with it.

Seeing that E-4 school a flag officer, and to also finally meet him since I had only seen him in his car in traffic and could not talk with him, was the best part of my day yesterday.
