Oh ok, now is good I guess
I am away from home for while and I decided to stop in a local Mexican restaurant that good really good reviews.
It's just me, and I order a beer and start looking over the menu. By the time the beer comes up I am still looking over the menu.
The waitress, who it is clear English is her second language, asks me if I am ready to order. I say "no I am going to need a few minutes." She says, "ok!" And stands at the end of the table waiting for me. I wasn't sure what she was doing so I flipped a few pages hoping she would get the hint. She didn't, so I just picked the first thing that looked good.
Although I felt it was awkward, being bilingual and my voice being low and background music being somewhat loud, I can't blame her really.
Just thought I would share
TL:DR; see meme.
fufuwewe
Is english your second language?
Speedisfun
No it is not, sadly it's my only language. That's why I am not making fun of her at all.
fufuwewe
Oh,I was making fun of you actually. Read your second sentence in the description lol. I was stuck reading the whole thing in a accent after
Speedisfun
Poor use of grammar. You're correct.
ThatSplainsItLucy
What did you order? Was it good? You left us hanging.
Speedisfun
I got blackened Tilapia tacos, with refried beans and rice. It was very good actually.
ThatSplainsItLucy
Nice.
drdavessardogs
Something with beef, lettuce, beans and flour - oh, and maybe some mashed grasshopper brains.
bntli
you should have purposely not ordered and seen how long she would wait. then left a good tip
ColonelClaypool
"Thank you very much, the menu was fantastic!"
Speedisfun
I thought about it. Haha.
bntli
i would have started with the intention of doing that, then got super uncomf and ordered whatever random thing
Speedisfun
Honestly, that is exactly what I would have done too.
bntli
and depending how long i made her wait before i caved id just pay and leave a big tip before she came back with the food and leave
