Was this in the new visitor center building. When I was a kid all the exhibits were just in the lobby’s of the buildings on the campus. 1/2

You could just tour the grounds with a guide and the whole place would just work around you. You would see astronauts all the time.

Now its all packaged and centralized in its own building. You can still go to old mission control though. But is seven floors up.no elevator

Well, not RIGHT now. Covid has several areas closed, unfortunately. The museum building was opened in the early 90s. 1/2

But I remember going to see the large clean room & giant vacuum chamber across the road in ‘95. 2/2

Yeah the tour now or before COVID was very good and we still got to talk to some astronauts which is great. Thanks for the post good stuff.
