Good thing Detroit didn't have anything better to spend their money on than a statue venerating a private military contractor being used as a police officer in their city after their fictional government was overthrown by a fictional corporation. the crowdfunding was only for the construction of the statue. Detroit spent its money on site selection, installation, and maintenance.
