This is a Bercamasco. It's a dog.
When they're not used to sweep the floor, they are a type of herding dog.
Apparently they were bred with a thick coat to survive winter in the Alps.
I'd never heard of them, but they were mentioned on Only Connect yesterday, so I searched the interwebs for them.
