Of all the people in the world...

Every Republican is a Nazi. Every goddamn fucking single one of them. Including the "nice old lady" down the street.

The fact cops still fall for these constant fake swatting calls shows how fucking useless they are. Sending out someone to check is one thing, but to do a full swat shows how much restructuring out law enforcement needs to be.

It says loads about the current CPS they responded to this at all. When countless real cases are left to rot.

We got some real right wing, Christofascist MAGA azzols here in Michigan.

These are the small statists of false accusations that has the mansphere up in arms about. "What about his reputation" are they going to send Pete their sympathy? I won't hold my breath.

This next election for presiding will be the first time in USA history a president will use national guard to jail his enemies. I guarantee it.

maybe putting the DOJ in charge of the Epstein/Trump trafficking files was a mistake. Maybe we should all leave a message on this agency's voicemail.

After one anonymous report (phone call?), a state cop and a CPS employee visited his residence and set up "forensic interviews for his twin" four year olds. Instead of scaring children, one would imagine that the first move would be to ask friends, coworkers, and neighbors whether there are any unusual or mean behavior towards the kids by Pete or his spouse.

Or interview people at their preschool.

Charlie Kirk has nit said 1 rascist or bigoted thing this Pride/Junteenth....

The ability of an unsubstantiated, anonymous report that allows a person to be arrested without judicial oversight is the consequence of Red Flag laws. Be very careful of what you wish for, you just might get it.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 18

No one was arrested. Investigation does not equal arrest or even detainment.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Who told you there's no judicial oversight? Overzealous case workers get reamed out by judges regularly.

I wonder which magat made this BS accusation?

2 months ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

Doesn't matter because they will expend every resource looking for someone who tweeted something bad about ICE but not a penny finding false accusers.

Ken Paxton.

I can believe that.

So, if the police knew it was a false report, why did they separate him from his children?
“We got a call…. Do you have ID?….”

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

They can't know it's false. They have to investigate. It would be irresponsible not to. I'm sure the interview was short, and I think the person who made the false claim is an asshole, but I can't contest the interview. I'd rather a thousand unnecessary interviews than one case of missed child abuse.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Nah, CPS doesn't investigate real shit all the fucking time. It was an obvious fake report and it could have been ignored. Especially when there are so many real cases they ignore.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They separated them by sending the children to their grandparents house for 24hrs. It sounds awful but for them it was a sleepover.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Is it time to figure out a way to stop this?

2 months ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

Guns. Guns are the answer.

Can we finally start organizing local cells of people and start project mayhem?

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

We should have a system where we can vote out officials we don't like, and build in mechanisms to change parts of the system we don't like.

2 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

What you should get is people with the conviction to actually implement and enforce those mechanisms. Because as has been roundly demonstrated, words on a page have no power to run a functioning system any more than a hammer does to build anything without a hand willing to get calluses in the course of wielding it.

But still have the mental maturity that until we change the system we're stuck with an election system that is effectively binary and that you will have to frequently suck it up and vote for the "lesser of two evils," which isn't FAIR but neither is life.

Republicans will be as cruel as we allow them to be.

2 months ago | Likes 277 Dislikes 4

Fun fact: making false reports to the police is a jail able offense. However I'm going to bet the person who made the report isn't going to have any issues at all.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But THAT is exactly the problem. Racism and discrimination was never really abolished. Never really punished. Never really crushed. I has been festering and festering. The nice, friendly, social, human part of the American population has been too tolerant towards the intolerant.

2 months ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

I once commented that we were a society so concerned about infringing on the rights of others that we wouldn’t even stop someone taking ours away. I hate that I was right.

2 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

It is EXTREMELY difficult to eradicate bigotry, hate, etc. from society. I can’t even think of one that’s truly gone. Can you?

Not that we should stop TRYING, of course.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I think it's because nice people dont do what needs to be done. It's a paradox. Non-fascists should not tolerate fascism. So there should be very strict rules and punishments for fascists. But that would create a fascist society. Racists and bigots should be removed from society and re-educated if possible. But doing so would be fascistic, locking bigots up till they change. But doing nothing an letting it fest like we did for 80 years creates a society as we have now, filled with hate.

*and fester

I think, and Im no political philosopher, whats needed is a system that protects freedoms rather than Hinders freedoms. So even if there are laws against nazis, the source of those laws is to protect everyone else, therefore avoiding the creation of an actual fascistic state. The US bill of rights is generally, barring some exceptions, not a bad example.
