We got our susan off craigslist. She's a bulldog. First night we took her out around 1 am. She brought a fucking baby opossum into our bedroon. Installed outdoor lights the next day.

We all know the cappy invited them in

That was thoroughly enjoyable. Beginning to end.

I was eating at a lakeside outdoor restaurant a few weeks ago and a small opossum picked its way carefully across the patio. Tall tables with stools so most people didn't have their feet on the ground. We wound up warning folks at other tables so they wouldn't see it beneath them in their peripheral vision and startle. One table had a dog that showed admirable restraint. The restaurant staff said the opossum is a regular.

Is she a vtuber?

I intensely dislike this trend of showing a later part of the video at the beginning as some sort of hook because short form videos have been the bane of attention spans.

She’s cute

Reminds me of Friday night when I had to go back to the northeast corner of the lot at work to look in a truck. I walked around back where it's fairly secluded with tall grass to pop open the box and look inside, and as I looked over to my right to see behind some shipping containers I startled a juvenile fart squirrel. It was a very polite fart squirrel though. No stamping down, no hissing/growling, no aggressive moves. Just tail hiked up. We then went about our businesses and had nice nights.

The Labrador found an opossum, and brought his favorite toy so they could play together. Opie was not in the mood it seems.

Cat a Leah is great.

Capybaras attract many animals because they have a high amount of charisma and persuasion, they invited them.

That one's named Bitey.

Hare, Capybara, and Chicken but Possum not allowed. Discrimination!

DO NOT try to bathe them. I sometimes do possum rescue and they WILL fuck you up if you try that, I had to go to the ER. I had 2 of them in one of my bedrooms for couple months when we have 3 feet of snow on the ground. They stank.

She seems absolutely batshit crazy, but equally lovely as a person. Like terrifyingly nice.

She only seems crazy because we're used to people being spherical bastards instead of genuinely nice

I think she called her dog fupa.

Reminds me of Tiny Tina from Borderlands

This is the kind of unhinged whimsy I use to portray the Fey in my D&D games.

Very beneficial animals, eat ticks and other insects, can’t get rabies

2 weeks ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 0

They still bring tons of fleas into my yard.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Iirc they give us antivenom as well!

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They don't really eat enough ticks to make a difference. :(

I still wouldn't go pick one up. This seems like a bad move to me. But I'm city folk. I wouldn't approach a raccoon or squirrel either.

2 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

They're all wild animals that can bite, so that's probably a smart plan. I was bitten by a squirrel when I was about 10.

Get them in a live trap if you can, wear gloves even when moving the trap, and if you're not comfortable with it, call a professional.

Fuck do they look like they could bite a fleshy biscuit out of your leg though

2 weeks ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

They really cant. Think about those jaws and their length and lack of articulation outside of open and close. Have you ever watched one try to eat like, an apple? They just sort of open mouth chew on it in the derpiest way possible.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You're right, probs not tear chunks but definitely pierce skin easily

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they could, but theyre not that likely to, IIRC. their defense mechanism is to play dead and release a rotting smell to make whatever attacks them not want to finish the job

2 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I caught one in my backyard that weighed about 5lbs and it really wanted to bite me. I put it down and it calmly walked away.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

They open their mouths as a threat to get you to leave them alone. Its not trying to bite you. It wants you to go away.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was definitely trying to bite. It was not happy about being held

Tennis vaccine is good for 10 years, so you should be good to go.

2 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

10 years for routine boosters, 5 years if there has been a possible exposure.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can confirm it made me stop playing tennis within a week.
