13TH FROSTFALL 3E 201
My travelling companions Illia and Inigo are accompanying me to Largashbur, an Orc stronghold that has been plagued by giants at the behest of the Daedric Prince of the spurned, Malacath. (Spurned by the patron god of the spurned? Ouch!) I was tasked with retrieving the heart of a Daedra to perform a summoning ritual. What awaits us next is anybody's guess.
I returned to Largashbur triumphant not long after dawn.
And just like that, I'd been swept up into another Daedric ritual.
Inside, I met the clan chief, Yamarz.
Ever meet someone and know right away they were an asshole?
Yamarz was one of those people.
Reluctantly, he agreed to the ritual.
Then, Malacath spoke.
He spoke in a booming, electric voice, one that chilled me to my core. Like Vaermina, it was as if the voice was echoing in my head.
And so, it was decided that the Orc chief, Yamarz, would need to defeat the giants and return their club as an offering.
But Yamarz had other plans.
He wasn't one of those proud gung-ho Orcs. He was just as dirty and shameless and I.
I tried to resist.
Not out of my pride mind you, I just really didn't want to do it.
But Yamarz was a smooth talker.
And more importantly, he had plenty of gold with which to grease my scaly palms.
So what the hell? I took the job.
I ran out of the compound and chased after Yamarz.
He had no intention of travelling with us.
A short ways from the stronghold, I caught up to him.
I had to ask him a question.
I tried to be reasonable with the Orc, but he insisted on being a little bitch.
So I kept silent, and followed him through the Rift.
On the side of the road, I saw the body of a guard.
Did Inigo really do this?
He must have.
I suppose I never should have questioned his loyalty to me.
Down the road, near the same farm where I was stopped a couple days prior, a guard halted us.
I didn't waste his time.
He lunged at me before I could even draw steel.
Honestly, if it weren't for my friends, I would have been proper fucked.
Just as the guard and I clashed, Illia bravely leapt between our blades.
"I'm starting to like this girl."
"Welp."
"Guess we're all guard murderers, then. Welcome to the team Illia!"
And so we hit the road, where our body count would only continue to rise.
