YOUR MASTERING SUCKS AND THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM. If your goal is to just "fuck up" the sound because you enjoy the artifacts it introduces (like with distortion), can do that many ways. "Vinyl sounds better" or "warmer" is just a dishonest way to say "I have no idea what I'm saying, I just think they're neat".

I mean, the way I see it, it works a bit like how old pixel based games worked with CRT tvs back in the day. Like if you popped in a super Nintendo version of FF6 into your HDTV, it's going to look off, because the graphics of the time counted on the pixelated nature of the old school tvs to achieve a better effect. Same deal here. Old school sound engineers took the pop, cracks, and distortion of vinyl into account when mastering the songs of the day. Vinyl doesn't do shit for modern mixes tho'
