Went for colonoscopy in February. They stopped it because they said I had AFIB, and sent me to the hospital. Nothing found there. No AFIB.
Went to see a cardiologist. He put me on a Holter monitor for three days. Found nothing. Then they put me on a treadmill for a stress test. Nothing found again.
Now I am cleared for a colonoscopy with the results of my stress test. The prep is the worst part of it. Joy?

being in good health is awkward but getting your butt probed is awesome? nice

I had literally the exact same thing happen to me. Got an ablation for my Afib and just had my first colonoscopy (plus an endoscopy) two weeks ago as the heart has standard rhythm. Watch for low grade heart failure from the Afib. That’s where I am now. ✊🏼

If they're checking your heart via colonoscopy, I'd get a second opinion.

Colonoscopy prep has really improved in recent years. My first one made me sick as a dog; my most recent one was a breeze. Good luck!

LoL samesies here. The heart is in good shape, but I'm waiting for the call to set up my appointment.

I think you may have your colors switched
oozabooza
that is unless you wanted a heart problem and love getting colonoscopies, hey, i don't judge

Joy! Good luck!

Go ahead, get your anal probe. My next will be my 5th. Different Dr and Anesthesiologist every single time, they knock me out for what I swear is the blink of an eye, and the deed is done. They sometimes pump a little CO2 inside to inflate "things" so you fart like crazy. Some folks say they hate the prep, just eat soup and high fiber for 2-3 days prior to them giving you your butt-pee elixir. Once you start the prep - don't make any plans, and stay real close to a toilet. 1/2

2/2 Most of all congrats of your clean bill of health. I just finished a 7-day cardiac CAM monitor, results look good to me, I'll meet with the Doc in about 2 more weeks. Went through it all 1 year ago, all was fine, this is just an annual double-check.

3/2 Oh, right, my adventure started with my P.C.P. hearing a "murmur". Apparently P.A.C. or Premature Atrial Contractions are a thing, who knew? Cardio guys said all OK last year but check back in 2026. Had the Holter in 2025, now the CAM (7 days) this year. I want to live forever, maybe 69 years of clean living will pay off?

Maybe they are excited about having their butthole fingered

If only it were just a finger!

colonoscopy isn't the finger, it's when they break out the drain snake
