These are the people they want to give cameras to that track all of us at all times.
Also worth noting, some states have laws making it illegal for an office to ever have sex with someone while that person is being held in police custody, aka can not leave of their own free will; but many don't have this law, meaning police can have sex with you while you're in handcuffs in custody and then say it was consensual, as if any true consent could be given in those circumstances.

#1 God damn, and if that's not horrifying enough, just remember that those are just the ones we know about. Countless others are likely hidden behind the "thin blue line".

#5 crime in the USA is way down (for many reasons, some good (mental health awareness, no more lead paint) some bad (excess surveillance, people isolating) ). For profit prisons are emptying (a private prison IN Louisiana sued the state this year for breach of contract (not enough prisoners)). So Law enforcement, with the urging of these prison lobbyists are ramping up their policing (to say nothing of ice or flock cameras) and turning routine encounters in to arrestable offenses. America isn’t a nation worth saving.

#1 Qualified immunity. While it shouldn't apply in any of those kids of cases, it does cause an unnecessary hurdle for the courts to clear to indict an officer. So, the officer can just claim that the sexual assault they are being accused of, only occurred during a pat down or arrest, therefore requiring body cam footage to disprove it. And that's if the officer didn't turn it off or it wasnt redacted.

Police should have to carry malpractice insurance instead of taxpayers being on the hook when they get sued. Bad cops will quickly be removed from the streets by their insurance premiums.

That's probably by design. corporations LOVE making impromptu fiefdoms.
Clockworkdancerobot
Given today's fascist environment, yeah. A radical. Meanwhile people who know the system is designed to create crime and poverty understand it cannot be reformed. This is the idea behind police abolition. Changing from the current carceral justice system to a more reformative justice one. Too much focus on punishment and the incentives for profit and political power create perverse incentives to frame and punish.
Sipmonsnsn
Police cant be abolished. If you do militias will do the job.
Clockworkdancerobot
Police Abolition, as I said is changing how we do policing to a more restorative justice system. Olurinatti describes it better: https://youtu.be/hBGU6bwB60k

Ok I am done... FUCK AMERICA!! THAT POOR DOG... WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL??
54% of Americans cant read above a six grade level... Which means the majority of Africans all over Africa... Are more educated than half your country!!
The American Dollar is practically worthless now... Remove it as the global standard!!

There's another video a while back where the police arrest someone with a dog and just leave the dog on the side of the road, and when the police car takes off with the owner inside, the dog tries to run after it. I can't remember for sure, but I think a bystander is able to grab the dogs leash so it does just chase the car into the road. I see more stuff than I can bring myself to share here. It's too heartbreaking. Police kill about 10k per year in the US.
Allthethings12
Its so sad... Bring back Americana!
